DESMOND CHEN

Founder & Managing Director

Desmond Chen is the founder and Managing Director of M Electrical & Engineering. He has combined experience more than 25 years in the industry. He oversees the whole operation of M Electrical and Engineering and driving the company towards it’s mission. Prior to establishment of M Electrical & Engineering, Desmond held a Director position where he is involved in managing most of the projects in the company. He is a Diploma holder in Electrical Engineering from Federal Institute of Technology F.I.T in year 1996.

STEVEN AW

Co-founder and General Manager

Steven Aw is the co-founder and General Manager of M Electrical & Engineering. Steven has been in this industry for around 16 years. He is responsible for the Sales and Operation of the M Electrical & Engineering. Steven was a project engineer and later promoted to project manager in his previous company before starting M Electrical and Engineering. He is a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Leeds class of 2006.

Company / Milestones

2017

Establishment of the Company marking the commencement of M Electrical & Engineering journey in providing electrical solutions and services

The Company took in several solar farm project in various location - Batu Kawan, Penang, Chembong, Negeri Sembilan, Bidor, Perak and Arau, Perlis.

2018

Our company registered with Energy Commission Malaysia.

In the same year, our company obtained the ISO 9001:2015 whereby our products & services meets the international standard requirements.

We also develop enclosure housing of TNB Compact Sub-Unit and passed the test standard.Our company managed to surpass RM3 million for a solar farm project in Gebang, Kuantan and Bidor, Perak.

2019

Our company ‘s Feeder Pillar pass the Type Test on both temperature and short circuit issued by VEIKI-VNL Electric Large Laboratories Ltd in Budapest, Hungary

Registered with MIDA to be recognized as manufacturer. At the same time, also registered with Ministry of Finance Malaysia.
With both registration above, the company can supply and manufacture for TNB

2020

The company achieved significant milestone in 2020 by registering with:

CIDB as G5 which enable our company to manufacture and supply to Malaysia government projects
Successfully register with TNB as a Manufacturer and G5 Contractor

Obtained Sijil Guna Pakai [SGP] from TNB for our Feeder Pillar, enabling our Company to participate tender as well as supplying

We also expanded our facility by 6,000 spft in the same year to facilitate our projects

The company achieved RM5 million/ project mark

2021

Company’s revenue pass the RM10 million mark.

The company continue to expand our facility by around 9,000 sqft.

Increase productivity by bringing in Additional Laser Cutting Machine & Press Break Machine.

2022

M Electrical and Engineering trade mark the company logo under the Trade Mark Act 1976 from Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia.

At the same time, the company applied patent and managed to obtained IP from Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Dan Hal-Ehwal Pengguna for 2 core products:
